NABH Readiness & Quality Transformation™ | Hospital Traders — NABH 6th Edition Consultancy for Indian Hospitals
NABH 6TH EDITION READINESS & IMPLEMENTATION

Is your hospital really ready for NABH, or just holding the paperwork for it?

Most hospitals walking into assessment have the policies, the registers, the committees — and still get flagged, because those systems were never truly implemented. We help Tier 2–3 hospitals and nursing homes close that gap, chapter by chapter, department by department.

Independent NABH readiness and implementation support for hospitals and healthcare organisations. Hospital Traders is not NABH and does not issue accreditation — that decision belongs to NABH alone.

The real problem

Documentation is only one part of readiness.

The question an assessor actually asks isn't "do you have a policy for this?" — it's whether your hospital can demonstrate the policy is being followed, every shift, every department.

  • Policies exist, but staff on the floor haven't internalised them
  • SOPs are printed and filed, not practised
  • Registers are completed retrospectively before an audit, not in real time
  • Committees meet on paper more often than they meet in the room
  • Forms are ready; the evidence behind them often isn't
NABH Hospital Accreditation Standards — 6th Edition

Built around the current framework, not the one hospitals half-remember from 2019.

The 6th Edition, effective for new applications from January 2025, keeps the ten-chapter structure and applies across the whole organisation — not selectively to a few departments.

Questions hospital owners ask us

Frequently asked

It depends on your facility type, size and services. NABH runs distinct programmes, including Hospital Accreditation and SHCO Accreditation — we help you confirm the right one before any work starts.

No. NABH's own preparation guidance stresses implementation — standards that are integrated into how the hospital actually functions, not just filed away.

There's no universal timeline — it depends on programme, hospital size, current readiness and scope. As a reference point, standards generally need to be internally implemented for a minimum of three months before application.

No — and any consultant who says otherwise should be treated with caution. We provide readiness assessment, implementation support, training and mock assessment. The accreditation decision belongs to NABH alone.

No. NABH is the accreditation body. Hospital Traders provides independent readiness and implementation support only.

Yes — this is most of our work: current-state assessment, gap prioritisation, department implementation, training, internal audits, CAPA and mock assessment.

Yes, through the NABH Quality Partner™ engagement — ongoing audits, KPI review and surveillance readiness.
